       Moshe was tending sheep with Yitro, his father-in-law, the priest of the Midian. Once he led the sheep across the desert, and came to Mount Elohim – Horev. And the Angel Jehovah appeared to him in a flame of fire from thorns.  And he saw, that a thorn bush was burning with fire, but it was not consumed. And Moshe said: I will go and look at this great phenomenon, why the thorn bush does not burn. And Jehovah saw, that he was coming look, and called to him from among the thorns, and said: Moshe! Moshe! And he said: Here I am.  And He said: Do not come near here: take off your shoes from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.
